Easy cookies with chocolate chips

Last night I had asked on Instagram stories if they would like today’s post to be a DIY photo frame garland or an easy cookie recipe. Instagram has spoken that they are bunch of cookie monsters. There were only two votes for a photo frame garland.

So here you go my cookie monsters as we get closer to Easter, I bring you one sweet idea to gift to your love one. Whether it is for him, her, a friend or a buddy, edible gifts are always a great idea.

As I am older, I do not look Easter through material gifts, it is more important for us to be together and to be happy (and to eat that day), to create a ‘hygge’ moment for memory.

I wish you, along with this easy to make cookie, to create some sweet memories or simply to make someone’s day more beautiful.

Enjoy!

Recipe:

Ingredients:

  1. 60 grams of butter (0,28 cup)
  2. 1 egg
  3. 80 grams of brown or coconut sugar (0,4 cup)
  4. a pinch of salt
  5. half a teaspoon of Baking Powder
  6. 120 grams of all-purpose flour (0,85 cup)
  7. 120 grams of chopped dark chocolate or chocolate chips (0,85 cup)

Preparation:

  1. Turn the oven on 180°C and leave it warm. (356oF). Put the baking paper on the baking tray.
  2. Melt the butter. In one bowl mix the egg with the sugar and add the rest of the ingredients (pinch of salt, baking powder, flour and chocolate chips). Mix the cookie dough.
  3. Wet your hands with cold water and form cookies (I got 6 medium ones). If you like you can decorate them with M&M’s.
  4. Bake for 13 minutes, they will additionally harden when you leave them out. (My oven is electrical with a fan, but 13 minutes should be enough in any kind of oven)

  2. Mmmm yummy! I’m not certain I’ve ever actually made a chocolate chip cookie…I’m not sure I’ve ever made cookies now I think about it. This looks super easy but scrummy – one I will have to try out, thanks!

  4. These look so good Marta. My mom made a mean chocolate chip cookie herself; I miss those morsels. Now I find myself eating tasty but somewhat bizarre sweet snacks here in Thailand. Stuff my wife loathes LOL.
